The Arts Arena and the Arts Arena International will welcome guests to a private conversation and cocktail dinatoire with Richard Peña, Director Emeritus of the New York Film Festival and for 25 years Programming Director of The Film Society of Lincoln Center. With Professor Peña will be award-winning screenplay writer James Schamus (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, directed by Ang Lee), producer of Brokeback Mountain, and while at Focus, Lost in Translation, Milk, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). The two will talk about film festivals, one as director, jury member, and curator, the other as entrant and contestant: Behind the Screen, a conversation.
The conversation will be introduced by legendary Academy Award-winning director James Ivory.
Both James Ivory and Richard Peña are members of the Arts Arena Advisory Council.
