Elton John called him “the greatest songwriter on the planet.” He has played Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Covent Garden, the London Palladium, Hollywood Bowl, Royal Albert Hall, collaborated with artists such as Robbie Williams, Elton John, Paul Simon, ANOHNI (formerly, Antony Hegarty), David Bryne, and Boy George. He wrote the music for Robert Wilson’s Shakespeare’s Sonnets and has composed two commissioned operas, Prima Donna and Hadrian.
