« A towering figure in the world of experimental theater » (NYT), visionary artist Robert Wilson is among the world’s foremost theater and visual artists, creating productions that have decisively shaped the look of theater and opera since the 1960s. He is also the founder of the Watermill Center, a laboratory for performance in Water Mill, New York.
On May 22, at Théâtre de la Ville, he will premiere Mary Said What She Said, starring Isabelle Huppert in the testimony of Mary Queen of Scots about her involvement in some of the most notorious plots of her time.
Robert Wilson is a member of the Arts Advisory Council of the Arts Arena and was one of five exceptional leaders in the arts honored at the Arts Arena’s New York gala in October 2018. We are thrilled to have him return to the Arts Arena for the fifth time.
