1954: a film, once shunned for political reasons—blacklisted writers and Mexican-American union strikers–now deemed a classic. The screening will be followed by a talk and discussion with Richard Peña, Director Emeritus of The New York Film Festival and for 25 years Programming Director of The Film Society of Lincoln Center.
