PROFIT MEETS PHILANTHROPY

WHY CORPORATE FUNDING OF THE ARTS?

26 July 2022 | 19:00 – 22:00

Location: To Be Announced, Paris

THIS EVENT IS BEING RESCHEDULED FOR THE FALL.

In the US alone, arts and culture philanthropy amounted to nearly $20 billion in 2020. Among the donors were corporations. Why do profit-making businesses choose to give away significant amounts of money to fund the arts? What’s in it for them? What are the criteria and the process for their funding choices, and how do these differ from those of non-profit charitable foundations? What might evolve in the “fast-changing world of arts philanthropy” as we anticipate a historic transfer of wealth to a new generation of donors set to make its mark?

A panel including the Director of a major luxury brand foundation and an Executive Director of a high-level international financial firm will take us inside corporate arts philanthropy.
