Location: Salle André Marchal - INJA, 56 boulevard des Invalides, Paris 7e

Internationally acclaimed conductor, harpsichordist, and organist Harry Bicket is particularly associated with the baroque and classical repertoires. Since 2007, he has been Artistic Director of The English Concert, one of Europe’s finest period orchestras. In 2018, he became Music Director of the famed Santa Fe Opera, having already been its Chief Conductor. He has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, Decca, Avie, and EMI, and in the 2022 Birthday Honours was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to music.
Maestro Bicket will speak about baroque music with some demonstrations by musicians from The English Concert. His Arts Arena appearance comes as The English Concert performs Handel’s Ariodante at the Paris Opera from April 17 to May 20 in a new co-production with the Metropolitan Opera by Robert Carsen.
