A special Arts Arena members-only invitation for a private backstage visit to Palais Garnier, home of the Paris Opera and Ballet, We have organized this privileged visit as a way to welcome our members to our new season and to thank them for their continued support and membership renewal during this difficult period for all performing arts institutions.
This ArtsArenaPLUS visit take us through the ateliers where the ballet tutus and opera costumes are made and stored, the make-up studios, and the gilded hidden reception room behind the stage where in another era male patrons waited to “meet and greet” the ballerinas as they came off the stage. Far down under the opera house, we will see the lake that, according to the legend, allowed the Phantom of the Opera to access Palais Garnier; finally, we will enter the gilded opera house itself with its famed Chagall fresco on the ceiling.
This private visit will also be the occasion to introduce our members to our new Arts Arena Administrator and Events Producer, Sherri Peacock, herself a former dancer with the Boston Ballet.
Reservations are required: rsvp@artsarena.org
The number of people on this private visit is limited.
