Once called the “Fellini of Fashion,” Alexandre de Betak is the creative force behind Bureau Betak, the world’s leading fashion show and special events company, with offices in New York, Paris, Shanghai, and Los Angeles. For over 30 years and 1,000 runways, he has designed and produced shows, events, and exhibitions for the likes of Dior, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Calvin Klein, Raf Simons, John Galliano, Rodarte, Michael Kors, and Victoria’s Secret. His favorite show, he says, “is the one I haven’t done yet”

With a book entitled Betak: Fashion Show Revolution, Alexandre de Betak is a trailblazer. Seeing the coming impact of social media, he created Bureau Future, the digital creative arm of Bureau Betak. Last year, he launched Bureau Betak Sustainability Shift, which became the first luxury and fashion agency to obtain the ISO-20121 sustainability norm. His creative profile now includes designing installations at TEFAF in NY and FIAC in Paris, light installations and limited-edition furniture for houses such as Domeau & Peres, Artcurial and Swarovski, the restaurant Black Calavados, a unique Betak Disco Bedroom for the contemporary Hotel Amour in Paris, acclaimed houses and spaces in New York, Mallorca, and Paris, and directing films on major fashion houses.
Mr. de Betak will be in conversation with Arts Arena Founder and Artistic Director Margery Arent Safir. A Q&A will follow.
