A composer, keyboardist, and sound artist with “a searing intellect aligned with an alarmingly natural musical gift” (Weekend Special, CPO), South African artist Leo Gevisser has garnered acclaim as a singular contemporary artist. He has already performed and premiered his own compositions and productions in many festivals and venues across Europe and the USA, and as a Young Steinway Artist has soloed with all of South Africa’s major orchestras in the 2022, 2023, and 2024 seasons. He was the second prize winner of the Caisse des Dépôts Prize, le Prix Elliott Carter, le Prix du Public et la résidence Henri Dutilleux – Geneviève Joy at the du 16e Concours international de piano d’Orléans.
