Leonard Bernstein: America in Music, Jamie Bernstein and Opera Fuoco

A celebration of American conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein as we inaugurate the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this special evening will combine live performance and conversation.

Jamie Bernstein, the composer’s eldest daughter, will travel from New York to be in conversation with Arts Arena Founder and Artistic Director Margery Arent Safir.  Opera Fuoco, directed by David Stern, will perform selections from Bernstein’s short opera Trouble in Tahiti and the song cycle Arias and Barcarolles on the eve of their performance of the pieces at the Philharmonie de Paris. A coupe de champagne will follow.
