The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, (CMS) is one of eleven constituents of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, which includes the New York Philharmonic, New York City Ballet, and The Metropolitan Opera. CMS’s performing artists constitute a multi-generational and international roster of the world’s finest chamber musicians, enabling CMS to present chamber music of every instrumentation, style, and historical period. In addition to a full season in New York, a full national and international tour season, CMS offers important educational programs, nationally televised broadcasts on PBS’s “Live From Lincoln Center,” an international radio series, and regular broadcasts on SiriusXM and American Public Media’s Performance Today. Worldwide, an extensive selection of New York performances are live streamed on the CMS website.
Since 2004, CMS has been led by its renowned artistic directors, cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han. Among their numerous accolades, the couple was named Musical America’s Musicians of the Year. Their Arts Arena concert will feature works by Camille Saint-Saëns and Gabriel Fauré.
