The Arts Arena is proud to announce the creation of an annual Arts Arena Prize for a graduating pianist selected by the celebrated faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music, widely considered one of the world’s leading conservatories, counting among its legends Leonard Bernstein, Samuel Barber, Alan Gilbert, and Lang Lang. Pianist Vivian Cheng will play Bach, Schubert, Debussy, and Chopin. A coupe de champagne follows.

Cheng has been praised as “absolutely dazzling” (IHT), and has already performed in such venues as Steinway Hall and Lincoln Center. She has won numerous competitions, including the Tureck International Bach Competition, the New York International Piano Competition, and most recently the Philadelphia Orchestra’s Albert M. Greenfield Competition, as a result of which she will appear as a guest soloist with the orchestra.
