Spanning 40 years, Mr.Mahdavi has had solo shows in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, and his works have been seen in major galleries and art fairs around the world. He has also taught, notably at Parsons School of Design. For the 50th anniversary of The American University of Paris, Mr. Mahdavi will present AUP with a monumental sculpture, Gateway, pictured here. His Arts Arena talk will take place on the eve of the sculpture’s unveiling.
