The 1960s and 1970s are a turning point in the history of decoration. The invention of plastics and other new materials, combined with the mix of Scandinavian, French, Italian and Anglo-American taste opened new ways to decorate interiors. It is an exceptionally rich period in design and decoration, marked by a renewal of materials and forms, and, like no other period before it, made contemporary creations coexist with pieces from the past, a mixture of epochs and influences. Written by Guy Bloch-Champfort and art historian Patrick Favardin, Les Décorateurs des années 60-70 (Decorators of the 60s-70s) presents 35 decorators and their major works, representing this key period that saw the emergence of the psychedelic movement, Pop Art, and postmodernism.
Guy Bloch-Champfort will receive ArtsArenaPLUS members in his home to talk about this period in design and decoration. The book will be available in both French and English.

He is currently working on a new publication, Les Décorateurs des années 80-90, while serving as a consultant on interior architecture and design with Francisco Torres Studio, Lisbon.
